Senior "foxy" pops in every evening, and is sometimes accompanied by her 2022 daughter.  Took this minutes ago. FF.  (thought she was alone, but daughter was hiding away and showed herself when I stepped out in the yard, a minute ago.)

Her eyes are looking a little crusty, which is something I noticed on her kits a couple of weeks back.  Otherwise, she's looking healthy and still has a good bushy tail.

Z9 and 100-400 at 240.  ISO 1600 1/250 F8.

Thanks for looking.

Beautifully done, Dave. Great to have such a friendly visitor in your backyard.

She does look very good, the crust doesn't look like something serious.

Another fine Red Fox image, David. I'm sure it is very rewarding to observe and "know", this Fox family.

Good to see your lovely friend again, Dave. She looks very relaxed in your yard. Hope the eyes clear up. I like the ears, listening in two directions, perhaps.

Thanks Paul and Cindy.  Those ears pegged back tell me that was probably the moment her daughter was skulking around in the background.  (They don't miss much).

very intimate shot, this is wonderful.
I like the composition, the position of the tail and the stare of the fox.
