Photographed locally, the Flycatcher returned to the same perch a couple of times, which helped to get takeoff images. Please click on image for more details.

I can't recall seeing an in-flight image of a Willow Flycatcher, here on Naturescapes, or elsewhere, Axel, so a fine capture.

Thanks, Tim! I do have precapture on most of the time. Even if one presses the shutter button after the bird takes off, it still gets the whole sequence, pretty cool.

Axel, Great eye contact, fanned tail, wing position, great background. It doesn't get much better than this one.
