Hi Everyone,
If you use, or are planning to use, Adobe Stock to sell your images, you must read this.
A couple of weeks ago Adobe suddenly removed the accepted status from 991 of my images. Of those 442 of my approved images were moved to the Rejected tab, and 530 of my approved images were move to the Reminder tab.
Accepted image that’s now rejected and can’t be sold on Adobe anymore. Click to enlarge.
Images in the Reminder tab can be resubmitted, which I have already done. But the 442 in the Rejected tab cannot be moved to the Reminder tab or be edited and resubmitted. So I now have 442 images that will no longer be sold on Adobe, even though some of them have already sold.
The reason they were removed? My name was in the keywords. The Contributors Guide says:
Don’t: Include Artist names, real known people or fictional character names in titles, keywords.
Being a contributor, I didn’t think that Adobe considered me an artist or known person. I was obviously wrong.
It would be more professional of Adobe to allow me, and everyone else they did, or will do this to, to correct this error on all of the images instead of only 530 of them.
Fortunately, I submit my stock images to five other microstock sites, so I still have a chance to sell all of them.
When you contribute to any microstock site, be sure to follow their guideline and err on the side of caution.
Have Fun,
Jeff
