We have five nests in town. We have two active ones this year.
This one has a male and a female juveniles, both can fly.

Great to have so many Ospreys around, Karl. I like the landing pose and that we can see the talons well.

Thanks, Axel. In the golden years of birding, we had eight active nests in town and two just outside of town.
Today we have only two active nests in town and have no info of the  outside ones. The one we watched for about eight years sometimes on a daily basis has been abandoned this year after the male was killed. It was only 23 km from us.

Nice to be able to photograph one of your favourite species, Karl. Great "pose", captured here.

Awesome pose, and the detail is really great when viewed larger.

A peach of a landing shot, Karl.it is such a shame regarding the declining number of nests in your area, I just hope something can be done to encourage more Ospreys.

Great landing pose, and good to hear there are at least some Osprey still present. Perhaps some youngsters will come back....
