They sure don't have a body type that looks like it can fly.  :D

Thanks, Pete! They definitely don't look like speedsters, but fly surprisingly fast, 50 mph (80 kph). They flap really fast, about 400 wing beats per minute. In other words, they are almost honorary Hummingbirds. :)
