White tailed eagle

We spotted this juvenile eagle sitting on a rocky outcrop close to the road. Varanger is a hot spot for white tailed sea eagles, and it is not unusual to encounter 30 or more individuals along the coastal road.

It looks as if the eagle wants to look even more majestic by picking this perch. :)

A noble bird, showing off, I'd say! :) Must view enlarged to appreciate. I like the head turn and ruffled feathers. It must be amazing to see large groups of them.

Great composition here with the rocky perch,Sinuhe. Nice to have road access to see and photograph such fine birds as the White tailed Eagles.

Sadly, not all birds are as accommodating as this young individual - most are pretty skittish and wary of approaching humans.....
