There use to be a large population of this species in a local park. Those days are gone. Seems this species is relatively rare these days. Was lucky enough to chance upon a few of them at a local nature reserve. This one was perched on a stem of grass (bent) at the fringe of the pond.

AP, 1/125 sec, f11,iso400, 90D, 180Canon, tripod, flash off, Photopea, a bit Topaz, cropped tighter ard the subject.

Could have made my DOF life easier if I had stopped down more. But seems fixated mostly on F11. In many images, the tip of the tail is not in the focal plane.

Comments welcomed.

Thanks Cynthia. I do hope they proliferate and become a more common sight.
