This Red Fox Vixen had just delivered a Starling to her 3 kits, left and returned in only a few minutes with this young Yellow-Bellied Marmot.

Well spotted and taken, Terry! The marmot looks a better prospect for a meal for the cubs than a skinny starling - but I'm sure they are all well received when the vixen comes home with her kills. A fine story telling image.

Very nice shot of the "event". She looks pretty worn...maybe just shedding, but I'm sure it's a huge job feeding those little hungries!
