I got to the creek and saw four males, but they disappeared in then reeds.
Then I heard some wingbeats, turned around and started shooting. Unfortunately I did not have time to change the shutter speed, hence some motion blur.

I have done that trick often enough,I'm glad it's not just me :) Nice catch anyway of this colourful duck.

Excellent in-flight image, Karl- looks fine at 1/1250, to me, but I know you normally use a higher shutter speed.
