This is the final image from 2023, so hopefully, the hummingbirds will once again appear in early May , and some photo opportunities will be possible for this season ( May- September). The plant is a Lucifer plant, with mid to later Summer blooming period.

Beautiful flower and feeding behavior, Paul. There have been reports of Hummingbird sightings around here for a few days, it should not take much longer until they arrive in your area.

It is great to have the arrival of birds you are keen to photograph. Here is Australia I look forward to the Bee eaters arriving from up north in October to nest in our summer here. It is all ways a pleasure to find the first pair.
You have captured the essence of humming bird behaviour with good detail and attractive flowers.
