Cheetah mum, Namunyak’s  one (of 2) cubs found themselves @ the pointy end of an Impala ram mum had brought down! Due to her impatience to feed, her initial choke hold was a poor one and this big ram sprung back to life a few times in a battle that raged for 30 mins.
The tragic forlorn look on the Impala ram contrasting with the youthful exuberance of this 5 mth old cub makes for a powerful image I feel.

Terrific shot Marc. The large view shows the tension and details in this struggle for life. An outstanding shot that appeals, particularly with the youngsters eye on view and the Impala Ram's resigned look.

Powerful indeed Marc. The Impala seems to have a dignity even in its last few breaths of life. Death is never pretty but at least within the animal kingdom and the ongoing struggle to survive, death has an honesty sadly lacking in the human race.

Incredible contrast of expressions and a poignant view of the Impala's demise.
