Male Buff-breasted Paradise-Kingfisher (Tanysiptera silvia). I had given up photographing these this season, after the cyclone and historic rainfalls, all the places I would normally go are still inaccessible with bridges washed away and massive landslides blocking the roads. So I was pleasantly surprised when I went for a mtb ride on a recently reopened but still very muddy track to come across this male teaching a juvenile hunting. They will be leaving very soon back north to New Guinea, they come here each year to breed in the dark rainforest. His streamers are in surprisingly good condition for so late in the season.
