Male Painted Bunting photographed at the Laguna Seca Ranch in deep South Texas 27 April 2023.

1/3200 sec
ISO 1000

Looks a little better viewed large.

Great to see one of these colourful birds in a different pose from the usual - and this one works extremely well! Beautiful image, Gene.

Excellent image, Gene.( Although we don't have Painted Buntings here in Canada, it is still one of my favourite species).
