When their wing feathers are completely black (look closely and you can see some brown feathers on the bottom bird), and you can also tell by the color of their beak. The top bird has an orange beak, and the bottom bird has a yellow beak. When the yellow beak turns orange, they are fully mature. A very young Caracara has a pink beak, and the feathers are light in color. |
