I noticed while observing these birds, that a lot of the time, they would fly directly into the nesting shrub. But sometimes they would land in the shrub adjacent to it, as it is doing in the image. Even when they arrive with their beaks busting with insects, they would fly up from this shrub to catch another one. This is how I got the majority of my shots.
I also noticed, that the amount of work they put in to feed their young ones, left them looking a bit dishevelled, which is quite understandable really. R5 RF100-500 F7.1 @ 500mm 1/3200s ISO 2500 |
