During our very rainy drive through Montezuma Wildlife Refuge this past Saturday we encountered this red-winged blackbird enduring the downpour. Despite the classic red epaulets not being visible, we really like the pose with the head turned and the tail flared out.  You can also see how rainy it was! Please enlarge image to see details.

Nicely done Ed. The large view shows the details beautifully and a refreshing change with the rain.

Great look-back pose, Ed, and I like that we get a sense of the habitat.
