Hello All.  I was just in Costa Rica for five weeks with three of my workshop groups.  It was a blast and everyone had smiles on their faces!!  I was really thrilled to finally capture a sunbittern at an angle to get its wonderful topside colors.  It was taken with the Nikon Z9 and Nikon 500 f/5.6 PF lens.

Good to see you around Nancy. Beautiful capture which shows off those striking wing feathers.  Looks like the 500 PF pairs handsomely with the Z9...(something Karl will be interested in, re that pairing with a Z8).
Make your life spectacular!

A nice view of the colours and markings on the topside plumage of this elusive beauty, Nancy!

Love the topside view. I shot one on a nest last year and none of those wonderful patterns or colors were visible.

Spectacular flight shot captured. It really stands out against the dark background.
