Took a few shots last night.  This time I have her attention, although its a fairly relaxed "whatever!" sort of look.   As said, it's quite something for her to feel so relaxed in my prescience. (not the usual Fox behaviour).  Nevertheless, I am thankful for the privilege.

The photographer in me wants a change of setting.  The wild life enthusiast just enjoys what I have.  That probably sums me up.  Wildlife enthusiast first.  "tog" 2nd.

Z9 and the 400 4.5 S.  For reference, the 100-400 S is in my view a very sharp and capable lens.  The 400 just has that something more.  Both have their place.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.

Another lovely capture of foxy lady, Dave.  I love the detail of her face and gorgeous almond eyes.  I can hear some viewers saying ''If only you could get her to lay near a bed of flowers.....or wildflowers, to give an artistic setting''...... :)  ........  Like you, I just appreciate time with wildlife first, and let the 'tog' come out second.  Either way its still a  lovely image to show off a foxy beauty.

Carol.

Super sharp and loving the low angle here, David.
I am so far behind on gear releases, that I had to Google your lens haha.
Agree with your sentiments - shoot and enjoy what you have.

It is remarkable that she doesn't mind your presence, great low angle and facial expression.

A rare privilege indeed, Dave - thanks for sharing these precious moments with us!

The 400mm f4.5 seems a stellar lens...if I didn't have the 500mmPF....it would be high on my priority list ;)
