I just realized how much easier to use Canon R5/R7 for BIF than Nikon D500.

Nikon D500
Nikon 500 f 5.6 PF ED VR
ISO 300
1/2500 s
f 5.6

Very nice image, Karl- I'm glad you are satisfied with your Canon mirrorless equipment. Certainly, advantages with the mirrorless system, as you stated, but at the end of the day, an excellent photo here, with your DSLR,despite some disadvantages for BIF.

Downright superb shot! Love the angle and the colours on this beauty. Wonderful shot.

BTW, every brand NEEDS a PF 500 F/5.6. Thats a stunning lens. I wish Sony made one. I shoot with a mate that uses it, man I want one :)

Top notch capture Karl!  Smashed this out of the park.  Also a good example of how a 2016 top notch body relates now to what we have in 2023.  (I do feel the defining factor will be in "whose hands" and any camera in good hands will work as in this case)...

Your images are so consistently good, that it doesn't seem to matter what equipment you are using at the time, Karl! This is another superb in flight capture and as always, a pleasure to view.
