Very sad news, Captain Andy Patterson, of Cutler Maine has passed. He ran the tour boat to Machias Seal Island puffin colony for many years. 
His trips to the island were always a great experience and he will be sorely missed by the birding and nature photography community.

That is very sad news indeed, Paul.  What a devastating loss to his wife Renee and family and to the birders who traveled with him.  Thank you for the posting the information. 

Thanks for sharing the news, Paul, I'm very sad to hear of his passing. It's been a while that I went on a trip with Andy Patterson, but remember him well as a very friendly man.
