I found some Ruddy Ducks at a local pond in the morning. This one has pretty much changed to breeding plumage yet. Please click on image for full resolution.

Beautiful duck it is Axel. Like the colour on the beak in contrast to the rest. Very interesting one to see thanks.

Very nice image. Yesterday at Bosque, I saw the largest group of Ruddy ducks I have ever seen. There were 19 all in one group and many others scattered around the refuge. They're just starting to get their breeding plumage.
