A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Beautiful wintry scene Jens. The kiss of light on the mountain slope adds icing to the cake.

Nice Frosty scene...the white and blue always makes for great images.
How are you fairing with all the snow of late?

I live on the east side of the Sierra Nevada, about 15 miles from Lake Tahoe. Most of the snow gets dumped on the Sierra, so we usually have no more than one or two feet of it on the ground, which is not a big deal to remove. The big deal are the roads across the Sierra. All three main connections are closed now and the supplies have stopped coming in. Storeshelfs are getting empty.

This is just a dusting compared with what there is right now: between three and five meters. The park (Yosemite) is closed without and estimate for re-opening.

Large view a must! Spectacular light and detail. Gorgeous blue sky and reflections! Aaaah, winter. Too bad it is now closed.
