Supposedly named after the renowned photographer Charlie Waite, who was the first person to capture this viewpoint. The tree forms a caressing arm over this famous landmark known as Ribblehead Viaduct, which is being lit up by the early winter's sun.

Wonderful testament to longevity, both for the tree and the viaduct. Wonderful viewpoint Peter.

Beautifully done- the iconic tree and early sunlight are well seen, with just a glimpse of the viaduct. Excellent compositional elements!

Charlie Waite is an amazing photographer and this image of yours is definitely up there on a par with his work, Peter! I have only seen his black and white view of this scene and your natural colour image with that gorgeous light on the viaduct and background is a pleasure to view. Well done!

Carol.

Fantastic tree!
I also prefer the view from this side much better than the other...

I like both versions posted like bookends. Of the two I would chose this one first for the light but both are terrific images.
