I have the Sony A7 R4 but have had to set the camera to RAW Uncompressed so that Affinity could read it -- does anyone know if the new version of Affinity will process lossless compressed?

My mistake, my camera is the A7IV, not the R variant.

In the Image Quality Settings there are 3 options for RAW files: Uncompressed, Lossless Comp, and Compressed. With the prior version of Affinity I have had to select Uncompressed but that makes the typical file size around 70MB, a Lossless Comp file should be less than 45MB on average and would make for better storage. The Affinity website doesn't provide much detail beyond the compatibility to handle Sony A7IV RAW files so it isn't clear if the new version is able to, natively, handle Lossless Compressed files.

OK, that makes more sense :) Like you said, Affinity doesn't specify other than that they do support the camera's RAW files. You will likely need to contact them directly.
