I think that it’s always good to have an outstanding photographer to inspire us with his/her images. I’ve come to respect John Gerlach’s work and information he provides to help perfect shooting techniques and editing. I met him in 1994 in Tucson and we had a pleasant conversation. I couldn’t believe that he had seen one of my cover shots on New Mexico Magazine and remembered it.  Here is a link to his images:

A few years ago, I attended one of his workshops in the Upper Peninsula, MI. It was a workshop that was about landscapes and insects of the area.. He is really good photographer and a great guy. I have seen some of his photographs of hummingbirds which were excellent.

His White Tern (then Ferry Tern) images that he showed at a program I attended with him and his wife in Phoenix are what inspired me to find a way to Midway Atoll...

Even though I refer to his work often, here is a link to his Facebook page again. He just keeps coming up with more and more amazing images. His latest work is well worth looking at.

I have emailed John Gerlach on numerous occasions with regards to some of his trips. Received no replies unfortunately. Anyone has any ideas how to get hold of him?
Thanks

thanks Joe. I live in the United Kingdom so calling him is not a real option, I have sent 4 emails to the email address that you just provided. The last one was sent 2 days ago.
