I posted this shot last year  Great Langdale - NatureScapes.net Forums which was taken after walking from Blea Tarn. This time round I have come from Whorneyside Force waterfall, and as I was making my way down heading towards Dungeon Ghyll, I noticed the sunlight  (which was coming from the Blea Tarn area) hitting the valley floor.

A 'must click' to fully appreciate this one. A wonderful scene, magically enhanced by the beautiful light and shade, Peter!

Sometimes the light makes one just want to stop, take a deep breath and take it all in. This is one of those times!
What a great view....nicely captured.

The Lake District is such a wonderful part of the UK. I grew up only 2 hours away and while I don't get to visit as often as I'd like it's great to see images from there, especially in what I assume is the autumn when the gorse is this lovely colour.
