         I WAS TRYING THIS NEW LENS (USED)THAT I GOT YESTERDAY IN MINT CONDITION SO I DON'T HAVE TO CARRY THE 800mm ON A TRIPOD, BECAUSE IT IS STARTING TO GET HEAVY, ESPECIALLY AT THE END OF THE DAY.

Another outstanding Snow Bunting image, Peter. ( The Canon 400 has been my primary lens for the past several years, and is an excellent one- bought mine used as well. Not as much reach as the 800mm,of course- perhaps a cropped sensor DSLR, would be a nice additional camera body, plus your 1DX- regardless, a great photo here).
