Force of nature

This shot was taken almost 12 months ago and shows the overspill of the river Brathay that feeds Skelwith waterfall. As you can see, the water has broken through the concrete block that supports the walkway that leads to the falls. Not too sure how long it will last if nothing is done about it.

Marvellous dappled light and details when viewed large Peter. Just shows the power of water. Hopefully, the walkway will get some repairs and attention it deserves.

I agree on all points, Peter.  Water in full flow is definitely a force to beware of when a trickle can become a torrent.
