A backyard caterpillar found recently - I never found a chrysalis, a hungry robin probably found it.

Nature doesn't realy give them much of a 'camo' jacket! Beautiful detail in this excellent close up, Tom.

Wonderful close-up of this monarch caterpillar. I believe they are somewhat protected by their warning colors...maybe don't taste very good! I also have looked for a chrysalis on occasion, and have learned that they are very good at hiding them. So...some hope of survival....
