I've been buying marumi exus polarizer but I've been hearing good things about hoya evo.  Which seems to be on top right now.  Tried breakthough but the knurled rings caused too many issues with lens hood.

I have not used any filters in quite some time, however I was always fully satisfied with Singh-Ray filters. I used their circular polarizer and thought it did an excellent job. Their filters are relatively expensive but you may want to look into their company to see what they offer and see some testimonials from well known photographers.

I agree that Singh-Ray polarizing filters are very good. Somewhat expensive. They offer an LB (lighter, brighter) polarizer that is ⅔ stop faster than most other polarizers. This filter also comes in Thin Mount (no front threads) which make it less likely to cause vignetting if used with a very wide angle lens.

I had singh-ray split ND filters and was not too happy. Need threads on front.

I've gone with California Wine Country.  Outrageously expensive IMHO, but after using it, I have been very happy with it.  I wasn't looking for just a polarizer but a  really good filter holder/system.  It is, by far, the best holder I've seen.  Absolutely no light gets in behind the polarizer or ND, and it holds ND's and GND's very securely.  I was initially a little concerned about the polarizer because I wanted a Breakthrough polarizer, but the CWC polarizer seems to be completely neutral.
