Canon EOS R3 Sensor review: Best low light performer

The Sport score is high for the R3.  4086  / R6 = 3394  / R5 =3042

I looked up the Sport score but it's not that clear to me.  I see the R6 has a higher score than the R5.  Is this a mix (what percentage?) of the useable high ISO rating and the Ai-servo tracking?

It can't be just high ISO as the 6D MK2 scores higher than the 6D, yet I keep reading that the 6D is better at high-ISO than the 6D MK2.

DXO Sensor Scores

It's purely an interpolated ISO at which the noise hits a predetermined threshold.  It's a poorly named metric and has very little to do with actual Sports shooting.

Personally, those scores seem meaningless to me. I'm sure fans of camera brands like them so they can brag that their brand scored higher. But for me, I like looking at actual images, whether it's the studio scene on Dpreview or other. The studio scene with fine print is helpful, as is the feather detail.

I'm not sure if I will ever part with my Nikon D850, which, by the way, was the first dslr to have a score of 100 on dxomark. Obviously I can not go through the steps to do in depth comparisons myself, but I believe the D850 still ranks as the best full frame dslr on the market today. You have to step up to medium format to begin achieving higher overall performances.

And if anyone is interested I have a Nikon D800e that I am going to sell and buy a second D850 while they are still readily available as new units. If interested I can provide details.
