"Complementing the a7 IV’s advanced autofocusing is the Focus Map function, which allows you to pre-visualize depth of field and select the correct aperture to keep subjects in the focal plane of your lens. In-focus areas are displayed normally, while objects behind the plane of focus are displayed with a blue tint and objects in front of the plane of focus are displayed with a red tint. Another unique focusing function is Focus Breathing Compensation, which smoothes focus transitions to maintain a consistent field of view and composition when racking focus during recording."

The so called lossy compression worries me. In order to get 10 fps in RAW, you have to use lossy compression, which means you loose quality (detail)
If you switch to uncompressed RAW then the fps rate drops to 5 fps which is unacceptable for BIF.

The lossy compression is no different than the compressed RAW Sony has always offered before the a1.  In normal shooting it makes absolutely no difference.  The only time it will impact anything is if you are doing something like star trails or astro.  Also somthing like fireworks - basically anytime you have a thin bright line against a very dark background - even then, you will only see it if viewing the file at 100%.  For action photography where you need the high frame rate, it is a complete don't care.

It just means that it won't have the zero blackout viewfinder, in other words it will be more like a DSLR when shooting a moving subject.  That's not due to the lack of a stacked sensor though.  a9's have always offered blackout free shooting even before stacked sensors.  What the stacked sensor allows is to have almost no rolling shutter so you can shoot fully electronic shutter even on moving subjects which makes blackout free shooting more viable if something is moving fast. The a7 does have a bit of rolling shutter due to a slower read-out speed which  so you would want to shoot it in electronic first curtain not fully electronic shutter to avoid rolling shutter effects on fast moving subjects which means blackout similar to a DSLR when it's mirror came down in between shots.

Does this also apply to the a7RlV (in FX and DX modes) as well as to the a6600?

For normal stuff where you aren't really pushing the post processing, yes it won't make an discernible difference but I personally still shoot in uncompressed RAW on that camera as storage is cheap, relatively speaking

Just FYI, FX and DX is a Nikon moniker that is just a name they assign to full frame and APS-C - it is not used by any other manufacturer in the industry.
