Topaz DeNoise AI: Lightroom or Photoshop?

Two questions about DeNoise AI:

(1) Do you use it out of Lightroom or out of Photoshop (or both)?

(2) Do you apply it at the beginning of your workflow or later?

1. I don't use Lightroom so it's PS or stand alone.

2. Since processing can significantly add noise, for example lifting shadows or other modifications, doing it more towards the end of the workflow would be my choice. Let's not destroy detail up front, lets wait until we do the other edits to see what level of detail destruction you can handle or in the case of large areas of the same color, doing it selectively in those areas after other processing is done would definitely be my preferred way of doing things.

Hi,

I use it as a stand-alone product.

DeNoise recommends using it first, the doing your processing.

Have Fun,
Jeff

How does one use it as a "stand alone" product?

Just click on the DeNoise icon (Green Shield with the letter D) or navigate to your programs and launch DeNoise. It does not need to be run as a plug-in.

Hi,

Just install Denoise. It will put a shortcut on your desktop to launch it as a stand-alone product.

Have Fun,
Jeff
