IQuick3Pod 40.4 Carbon Fiber Tripod from UniqBall is a 4-section support with 10-layer carbon fiber-constructed legs.... Located at the top of the tripod, the spider has a built-in leveling base that helps to straighten out your horizons...
Anyone with extensive field use of this new tripod, specifically the built-in leveling base? Major question: how secure is the leveling plate? Possibly two or three redundant clamping screws and not just a single one-point lock?
The common habit of tossing the tripod with camera and big lens on the shoulder while walking - and the built-in leveling base falls out... would be catastrophic. EJ's product review mentioned this aspect, of what otherwise looks like a superb tripod at a relatively reasonable price point.
