EJ recently did a report on this company's SD cards which I searched for in vain. As usual I'm clueless about searching on Naturescapes. Totally frustrating.

But the good news is that I found a test confirming that the sequential write speed of this V90 card is the fastest at this time. Here is the link:

I have one on order for my new X-T3, thanks, EJ !!

Maybe this one:

To search, just type in ProGrade in the search bar at the top of the page.

Whoops! I just realized that I saw the card review on EJ's Autumn Quack PDF.

And Joe, thanks, I had a space between Pro and Grade.

Here it is in discrete form. When you can't find something from me just go to my website www.ejphoto.com.

Should we have any concerns about some of the recent reviews (posted on B&H) being reported that the  128GB SD Prograde cards are failing? So far my experience with my a7rlll has been really great with their cards. Wonder if the reviews are a few of the only people that have had trouble out of many that have been successful with the cards.

128GB SD cards in the a7R III and a9 are having some issues, it's not just Prograde, in fact Sandisk has the highest amount of problems.  It's a Sony issue since all 128GB cards are a bit iffy in that camera.  The cards aren't failing, put them in a different camera and they are fine.  I have a Lexar 128 that's very iffy in my a7R III.  Works fine in every other camera I own.

Thanks EJ. Should we buy 64GB cards right now to be safe? What are the options that Sony will fix the problem with a firm ware update?

Thanks for your help on these issues.

On a sample of ONE - I have a Sony 128GB SD card and have experienced zero problems (knock on wood) on a a7R III. I format the card in camera each time after I download images to my card reader.

Yes, I use 64GB cards in my Sony cameras and have never had an issue. About one in every three major shoots with 128 cards I run into some sort of problem.  That said, there was just a new firmware released for the a7R III so they may have quietly fixed it.

Thanks EJ very helpful information. I have a 128GB Prograde card but may hold off on buying more for now or will buy the 64GB if I absolutely need some more before Jan.

This thread indicates it didn’t fix the problem for at least one person who did the firmware update

https://www.reddit.com/r/SonyAlpha/comments/9jku93/memory_card_problem_with_the_a7iii/?sort=confidence

It also indicates a new firmware update was suggested to be coming out by Sony in a couple of weeks to one poster to that thread.

I can confirm that Lexar 128's have the same problem. Makes me wonder if Sony 128GB cards are OK or not? ;)
