Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Landscapes Gallery, week ending 7th December, 2012!Hi all,
As many of you know, Juanli and I have lived in or on the border of Tibet for 7 years - In that time, we have traveled for months across the plateau, through valleys and canyons overshadowed by the highest mountains in the world, and gasped for air at over 18000 feet, trying to take images that in some small way capture the beauty, passion and spirit of this unique and marvelous landscape.
I am delighted to announce that today we have published a Free eBook - The Sacred Mountains of Tibet
51 Pages, 34 photographs, poetry from my wife Juanli and some essays by me.
Please download
This image is an old favorite of mine - from Yading, the heart of Shangri-La, taken after running a couple of miles uphill to find a vantage point at 4200m - All in a days work
Best wishes, and thanks.
