A Bad Mouse Day

Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Wildlife Gallery, week ending 9th November, 2012!

Canon 1DMIII + 800mm f/5.6 lens @ 1/1250, f/9.0, +1 Exp Comp, ISO 800

Took this one last winter. Cropped just a bit from the left & bottom for composition. Had a tough time keeping him in the frame with the 800mm because he was doing this very near the road. And yes ... he got the mouse. 8)

Very nice Pete. The coyotes intensity really comes through. Perhaps a little tight, but I like it.

Lovely capture Pete! Good timing to get him at the full extent of the stretch before the downward pounce and superb detail from head to toes!

A bit tight as mentioned.
A 600mm is probably more practical for wildlife.
