Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Birds Gallery, week ending 9th November, 2012!I haven't been able to get out for the past few weeks but broke that cycle yesterday. I caught this peregrine as it left its perch and headed for a large dunlin flock. It was not successful. Later it landed in a partially flood field close to the road and took a bath. I was fortunate to get multiple images of that behavior and will post some in the future.

A beautiful shot, the position of the peregrine falcon is perfect, very sharp and very well composed, beautiful.

You truly got it in full action. Very nice, Bob. Just hope it's a tad more saturated to reveal its details better.

Great close up flight shot, wing position and the trailing talons make the shot, Bob. Don't believe saturation is what is needed, just pull in the black and white points in levels, maybe 10-15 points in for each, this will improve mid tone contrast.

Love it Bob. The falcon's pose and position in the frame is killer.
