We started the this forum to have one place where relevant contests could be listed for nature photographers.
NOTE: NatureScapes.Net is not affiliated with any of these contests. Anyone considering entering a contest should read, understand, and agree to all terms in their entirety. Unfortunately, there is a trend towards contests being a method for organizers to harvest photos, so often contests now contain "rights grabs" language. If you are uncertain about the wording of a contest, please feel free to post questions in the Business Topics forum. There is also a licensing article by Carolyn E. Wright here:
http://www.naturescapes.net/032007/cw0307.htmTO POST A CONTESTWhen posting a contest, the subject should include the title of the contest, or at least the organizers, and must include the due date at the end in a date format of 3/22/07. Please also check to make sure that the contest has not already been posted. Duplicate posts will be deleted without notice.
The message body should include the full title of the contest, due date, and a link to an online resource for more information, where terms are stated. If terms are not available online, the terms must be stated VERBATIM in the post and full contact information must be stated so interested photographers may obtain more information.
EXPIRED CONTESTSExpired contests are listed as such but are maintained in this forum for reference - either so winning images can be found easily or so photographers can see details on an annual contest before a current year is listed.
Improperly listed contests may be removed without notice.
