Tim, A truly outstanding image. I had no idea that the California Quail's range extended into Canada.

One of my favourite images from your posts here on Naturescapes, Tim. The setting and the background, are just perfect- the yellow colours add such a nice touch to the photo. Excellent detail captured on the Quail, as well. Always thought this was more a species of semi-arid country, but apparently not. ( Saw one in the Southern Okanagan Valley, but nowhere else). Regardless, a pleasure to view.
