A Clay-colored Thrush photographed at the Laguna Seca Ranch in deep South Texas on 7 December 2024. Z9, 600 pf, 1/200 sec, iso 800.
Clay-colored Thrush are somewhat rare to the U.S., appearing only in South Texas in the last few years, but appearing more and more often. It looks like their range is spreading a bit northward. They are usually a ground dwelling bird, so it's always nice to get them on a perch. |
