 CANON 100-500RF @ 500mm F7.1 @ 1/200 ISO 1000 This juvenile was feeding briefly at this Globe Thistle, before landing on the stem, for a very short rest. Most of the flowering plants that I have seen hummingbirds feed at, don't have any place to perch on, so it was quite unusual to see this one, clinging on. The Globe Thistle wasn't one of their favourite plants to feed at, but blue seems to be a colour that they will go to, and feed, or investigate. Province of Ontario, Canada, image- August, 2024.
