Handheld from the kayak on one of the local lakes here in BC's central interior region. We had heard this fellow calling from a distance, and we parked the kayaks in the reeds where we thought we had his location narrowed down. Finding a spot with open water in the reeds and keeping outside the minimum focus distance is the challenge with Sora. After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching, I was rewarded with his first step into the small area I was hoping he'd go. Doesn't work out that way too often with Sora!

Great to see it in its habitat with the foot raised.
