Scarlet Tanager (m)
Piranga olivacea Striking, (if not outright stunning), in their breeding finery, male Scarlet Tanagers transition from, um, Scarlet to a much more sedate yellow for the off-season. I caught this one in transitional plumage. 5DIV 500 4.0 L IS 1/320, f/5, ISO 1600 Evaluative +/-0 Natural light Full Disclosure: I did get rid of an offending twig in the UL corner. Comments and suggestions welcome |
