One of my favourite birds, captured very well here, Karl. Nice setting, plus a complimentary coloured background, as well.

Beautifully done Karl.  Such a beautiful bird!  Just for curiosity, how is the battery life fairing in real world use.  (I normally disregard any test claims as real world use is what we are left with after purchase, and put more value is users feedback).

Thanks Dave. The battery life is not very good, but I had the same problem with Sony mirrorless cameras and currently Canon R5 and R7 cameras as well..
For that reason I always carry one or two extra batteries in my packet.

What a gorgeous looking bird, and my favourite colour too. A sweet shot, Karl.

Thanks for that info Karl.  Appreciated.  Thought it might be.  (I've the Z7II as well as the Z9 and the 15c battery for the Z7II is def' a "bring a spare" if on an all day shoot... Sort of ok, and  no hardship in slipping a spare in the pockets .  No issues with the Z9.  The Z8 is though, a lot of camera for the dollar.
Make your life spectacular!

Great find and the slight head turn makes this one for me.
