Serapias vomeracea, commonly known as Plow-share Serapias, is the only member of the Serapias genus found wild in Switzerland, the other members being spread around the Mediterranean - basin further south of the Alps.

It is characterised by the fine hairs in the opening leading to the "mouth" of tis orchid, a trait missing in Serapias lingua.

As such, it was a delight to see these unique flowers again, making the stiff climb there and steep descent back again quite worthwhile ;)

Composite image merged from 8K video file.

Nikon Z9 & Irix 150mm macro.

Thanks for the visit - have a great day!

Nicely done, particularly like the BG with the hint of detail.

Brilliant work with the merging and the climb, clearly paying dividends.  Have a good weekend Sinuhe.

Not sure how much longer I want to lug the hefty Z9 up those mountains, Dave....there are times I'm envious of Chris's rig and wonder if a smaller MFT system weren't more convenient ;)
