![]() From last spring, I finally found another of these orchids, they have a restricted distribution in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. This one was particularly challenging to shoot precariously perched near the edge of a small water fall requiring rigging of plamps to hold a diffuser over it and steady the flower, shooting with the 300mm f4 lens. Wind was also an issue. Multiple attempts finally got a 3 image stack I could work with. Larger image: Veined Sun Orchid Olympus OM-1 + 300mm f4, diffuser 1/60 @ f11 ISO800 Chris Ross
