Inspired by Chris's post of the Ophrys scolopax, a subspecies of which we've only seen once - I've been digging through some old files, looking for orchids we would love to encounter again, with the hope of attaining better images.
One such is the Orchis quadripunctata, of which we found only a solitary example during our visits to Sardinia....reason enough to plan another trip. Nikon D500 with Sigma 150mm macro. Image processed in PS, BG subtly muted with Nik Color Efex. Larger view |
