One more in my little pair series. Photographed in nice morning light and unlike Goldeneyes, male and female don't even have the same eye color. Please click on image for full resolution.

Nice light, BG water and colors with the ring showing. I worked two male Scaup with a female on Saturday at Bosque, but couldn’t capture the ring on the neck. Im still trying!

Thanks, Joe, and good luck with the Scaups. With the Ring-necked Ducks the ring shows best if something gets their attention and they stretch their neck a little. I got one image of a male that was looking at me with interest, I will post it soon.

Very special image, showing the pair together, Axel - nice colours to the water and background, as well.

So what a great pair they make. Love the golden tone in this, very nice. Yes the eyes are totally different. All the best Axel, fine shot.

A sweet pair- at least they both have rings around their bills. I'm surprised that isn't what they are called. I DO see the ring around the male's neck.
