One of the many Quetzals we saw during our recent visit to Costa Rica.This bird perched up on the branch and proudly displayed his prize.

Hi Axel,

This guy managed to swallow the whole fruit. My understanding of their feeding patterns is after they’ve eaten the fruit they then regurgitate the seed. So a pretty symbiotic relationship between the bird and the aguacate tree.  Thanks for your comment.
